Cursor

These steps follow Cursor’s own documentation. WeHarness has not yet tested Cursor end to end; see Compatibility.

Add WeHarness to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all your projects, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project:

{
"mcpServers": {
"weharness": {
"url": "https://mcp.weharness.io/mcp"
}
}
}

If the file already has other servers, add the weharness entry inside the existing mcpServers object.

  • In Cursor: open Cursor’s MCP settings. When weharness shows that it needs a sign-in, select it. Your browser opens WeHarness sign-in.

  • In the Cursor CLI: run

    Terminal window
    agent mcp login weharness

Sign in and allow the access Cursor asks for. Cursor stays signed in while you use it, for up to 90 days. See Sign-in and disconnect.

In the Cursor CLI, agent mcp list shows the server and its status, and agent mcp list-tools weharness lists its tools.

In a chat, ask:

List my WeHarness workspaces.

In the WeHarness app, Connect MCP now lists Cursor with when it was last used.

agent mcp disable weharness turns it off in the CLI. To remove it, delete the weharness entry from mcp.json. Removing it from Cursor does not end its sign-in with WeHarness. To stop it at once, select Disconnect beside it in Connect MCP.

Add the skill for coding tools as a Cursor rule, as Cursor’s documentation describes.
