Getting access

WeHarness is an invitation-only pilot. There is no public sign-up and no payment in the app: WeHarness invites you, and WeHarness adds the credits your workspace uses.

Request a demo on the website, or write to info@weharness.io. WeHarness answers by email.

When WeHarness accepts your request, it makes your account and a new workspace for your pilot. You are the workspace’s owner. You get two emails:

  1. Set your password, from WeHarness sign-in. The link works for 72 hours.
  2. You’re invited to … on WeHarness, with Accept invitation. The invitation works for 7 days, unless WeHarness set a different period (1 to 14 days).

To accept:

  1. Open the set-password link and choose a password. It must have at least 12 characters and must not be your email address.
  2. Open Accept invitation. Sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
  3. The workspace opens. If WeHarness sign-in asks you to verify your email address first, open the link it sends, then open the invitation again.

If a link expired, write to info@weharness.io and WeHarness sends a new one.

  1. Open app.weharness.io, or select Sign in on the website.
  2. WeHarness sign-in (auth.weharness.io) asks for your email address and password, and shows a short security check.
  3. If two-step sign-in is on, enter the code from your authenticator app, or one recovery code.
  • Forgot your password? Select Forgot Password? on the sign-in page. The reset link works for 30 minutes.
  • Too many failed attempts. After 10 failed sign-ins the account is paused for a while. Wait, then try again, or reset your password.
  • How long you stay signed in. The web app signs you out after 2 hours without activity, and 12 hours after you signed in.

A workspace’s owner or admin invites you from Settings → Members. The invitation email works for 7 days and works once. Sign in with the address it was sent to, then select Accept invitation.

You need a WeHarness account first. If a colleague has none, the owner can write to info@weharness.io: WeHarness then sends the owner a request to approve under Settings → Members, and your colleague gets a set-password link and the invitation. See Workspaces and roles.

Two-step sign-in asks for a code from an authenticator app on your phone after your password.

  1. Open Settings → Account. Under Sign-in and security, select Turn on two-step sign-in.
  2. WeHarness sign-in asks you to sign in again. Scan the code it shows with an authenticator app (for example Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator), and enter the code the app shows.
  3. Back in Account settings, select Make recovery codes. Keep them somewhere safe, apart from your phone. Each recovery code signs you in once instead of an authenticator code.

Account settings shows your authenticators, when your recovery codes were made and how many are left. Make new recovery codes replaces the old ones.

  • Remove an authenticator. Select Remove beside it. WeHarness sign-in asks for your password and a current code first. If two-step sign-in is required for your account, your last authenticator stays.
  • Lost your phone? Sign in with a recovery code, then set up a new authenticator.
  • Lost your phone and your recovery codes? Write to info@weharness.io from your account’s email address. WeHarness checks that it is you before it resets two-step sign-in. The reset is recorded, and you set up a new authenticator at your next sign-in.

WeHarness never sees your authenticator’s secret or your recovery codes: every change happens on WeHarness sign-in’s own pages.

  • Quickstart: your first session, plan and pull request.
  • Account security: your password, signing out everywhere, and coding tools you allowed.
